Centili has launched a direct carrier billing connection on O2, the largest telco company in the Czech Republic. This will make it possible for millions of mobile users in the country to charge micro-purchases to their subscriptions with O2. Purchases of digital content and services have become standard in entertainment, work and leisure – from games, video and music on demand, social networking and dating, to news channels and education services.

In the Czech Republic, carrier billing is emerging as a payment option with fast adoption among mobile subscribers. It is getting in the spotlight as a facilitator of modern living, which anchors many services and social habits around mobile devices.

-We are excited about this project with O2 in the Czech Republic. This partnership is all about long-term innovation, and business development in the usual carrier billing verticals, such as gaming, but also in some new ones. I believe significant opportunities are ahead in Mobility-as-a-Service area, which is evolving as a major concept in modern urban transportation and is backed by carrier billing, says Regional Manager Europe at Centili Lazar Pasajlic.

O2 Czech Republic(branded as O2) is the largest integrated telecommunication provider in the Czech market, operating more than eight million mobile and fixed lines. It was created in 2006, when fixed-line operator Český Telecom merged with mobile operator Eurotel. With its O2 TV, the company is also the largest IP TV provider in the country. O2 has recently launched its 5G commercial proposition as the first operator in the Czech Republic.
