These days, Shanghai-based game developer and publisher Moonton is activating carrier billing via Centili on Smart in the Philippines.

Moonton is known for its hugely popular mobile multiplayer online battle arena game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. It was the best-selling application on several app stores and one of the first titles to be included in the Southeast Asian e-sports events, which gather tens of millions of viewers.

Smart Communications serve around 95% of the Philippines’ cities and municipalities with its combined 2G, 3G, and 4G LTE network. The company provides mobile and digital services and content to over 71.4 million Filipinos through its commercial brands Smart, TNT, and Sun.

Beginning with 2020, Moonton emphasised their monetisation in the Philippines, where Centili already has an established business model. The arrangement looks to improve commercial effects and optimise Moonton’s payment structure in the global market.

“Moonton is an outstanding company and a key player in the mobile gaming industry. Our award-winning platform is ideally placed to boost their global monetisation ecosystem,” says Country Head China at Centili Winston Lau.

Centili is the award-winning digital monetisation company and the most innovative carrier billing platform. It partners with 280+ MNOs and leading global and national merchants to enable micropayments, user identification and mobile engagement. Gaming companies, apps, social networks and MNOs recognise Centili for its in-house developed technology, global expertise, and innovation capabilities.
